Nuh Violence: “Tablighi Jamaat trained people for attack on Hindu outfits”: Moulana Samsudeen Qasimi

At a recent event, the founder of the Vedic Science Research Center, Bala Gowthaman, quoted from a video in which a vitriolic speaker from Chennai, Moulana Samsudden Qasimi, explained how the violence in Nuh district of Haryana happened. In that video, the speaker Qasimia said that Mewat Muslims—the majority of whom are engaged in Tablighee work—had spent the previous year receiving training from Darul-Uloom, Deoband, Madrasa to respond violently to disturbances.

Moulana Samsudden Qasimi in the video saying the following in the video (which the organiser has access to). What he has said is false. Before we delve into the details of Nuh violence, it is essential to know the geographic significance of Mewat, where Muslims once resided, in order to fully comprehend this. It is a huge, plain territory that was under British influence long before India became independent. Muslims made up 99 per cent of the population. Their primary duty is to engage in thefts, break-ins, intoxication, and general enjoyment. As big as a state, Mewat has a sizable land area. The Tablighee Jamaat movement was established to reform the Mewat Muslims.”

Maulana Muhammad Ilyas founded the largest Muslim missionary organisation, the Tablighi Jamaat, a Sunni Islamic missionary movement, in Mewat in 1926. It has since spread to more than a hundred nations. The Tablighi Jama’at (“Society for Spreading Faith”) is a worldwide educational and missionary movement whose main goal is to motivate Muslims all over the world to practise their religion more fervently. Deobandism started in South Asia (in the town of Deoband, close to Delhi in northern India), but it shares a lot of similarities with the Wahhabi school of Islam, which is connected to Saudi Arabia’s foundation of religion.

During partition of the country, a part of Mewat, no way connected, was given to Pakistan and the rest remained with India. After India attained freedom, Indian rulers harassed them severely. They thought if they are majority in that area, Muslims can only rule. With that in mind the then rulers divided the Indian side of the Mewat into three parts. One part went to Rajasthan, another to Haryana and the remaining to Punjab. It was a clever move to follow the divide and rule policy as they feared unity of Muslims would pose problems in coming years.

The Mewat Muslims would donate lakhs to build mosques and to spread Islam in western countries. During the farmers’ riots in Delhi, Mewat Muslims helped the protesters with their produce, money and moral support. The farmers forced the Central government to accept their demands. Tablighee Jamaat’s was majorly involved in that agitation. Though they were not permitted to cross Haryana border, but they extended all help including cooked foods and they also satyed in tents.

Moulana Samsudden Qasimi said, “This kind, peaceful, and modest Muslim group, famed for their hospitality, was not spared by RSS. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the RSS planned a plot to incite racial tensions in Mewat, with Nuh as their intended target. The truth was concealed from the media after the riots. I went there personally and called to get information. They claimed that a sizable VHP group arrived in a procession carrying numerous weapons in order to incite violence in the belief that the poor Muslims would not leave their homes and that these cowards would do the same. But it was incorrect. The same Mewat Muslims replied by obstructing and killing numerous Bajrang Dal and VHP members. There are not many Muslims and what made it possible to execute this plan in Nuh. They have been receiving arms training over the past 1.5 years. Muslims were informed that VHP and Bajrang Dal members murdered an imam who was dozing in a mosque. They launched a fierce attack out of rage. Muslims shouldn’t ever be in mortal danger. The Kaffirs are to be killed and sent to hell before being sent to Allah or heaven, according to their plan. Muslims place their trust in Allah, not in the planet earth. When they feared the procession and requested a ban on it because it disturbs the calm and results in the loss of lives, Supreme Court declined to assist them. Police under the Haryana BJP government will not assist Muslims.”

Moulana Samsudden Qasimi further said in the video, “The Muslims failed to get legal assistance and they took law into their own hands. They have been given self protection training since last year and they have been taught how to use modern weapons. Darul Islam Madarasa principal Maulana issued a statement saying in northern Indian states, that they (Hindu outfits) are planning to kill Muslims. Don’t be afraid of them. Get trained in self protection. Attack them with vigour. Don’t believe any politicians, political parties, authorities, officials, judges, courts. They will not save us. Follow Islam principles – kill the Kaffirs who want to kill us . Believe only Allah. Today’s younger generation accepts Palani Baba as their role model. (He eulogised Palani Baba who killed Hindu outfit leaders and attempted to murder Rama Gopalan ji and others). Follow the path of Allah and attain the Shahadat status. Kill the kaffirs, Allah never guarantee you a peace and problem free life. Take up arms and kill them for your well being.”

From the above we could surmise, he spilled the beans that Tablighees supported the farmers protest. They were waiting to attack VHP and Bajrangdal cadres to take out a procession. Thirdly they have been trained in using arms. They are ready to kill kaffirs). Qaisimi is very active and radicalising Rohingya Muslims.
