Ahead of the much-awaited Asia Cup 2023, former India captain Virat Kohli has proved his fitness by passing the ‘Yo-Yo Test’ with flying colours.

The 34-year-old passed the Yo-Yo Test between the dreaded cones and took to social media to express his happiness.

The ace cricketer also revealed his score — 17.2 — in his latest Instagram story.

“The happiness of finishing the Yo Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done,” wrote Kohli on Instagram.

Kohli is in decent form but he hasn’t played an ODI match for five months. He was in the playing XI in the first ODI against the West Indies but didn’t bat and got rested for the last two matches of the series in the Carribean.

He will be one of the key players for India going into a hectic period of two and a half months with Rohit Sharma-led side set to feature in Asia Cup, three-match ODI series against Australia and most importantly ICC World Cup.

Apart from Kohli, the rest of Team India has arrived in Bengaluru for a training camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) where the players will train together before flying to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup 2023.

The Men in Blue will begin their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Pallekele.
