Sathish Parannur, the Secretary of the Kerala State SC/ST Protection Committee, has registered a complaint against one “Pratibha Nair”, an ‘individual’ who published a defamatory Malayalam FB post against Rashtrapati Draupadi Murmu.

The complaint has been submitted before Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The complaint states that ‘Pratibha Nair’ (probably a fake ID) shared a post of obscene and disrespectful content along with an image of the President of India. The post is in connection with the Manipur happenings.

The complaint states, such an act of insulting the President of the country is a defamation of the country, insinuation and equal to affronting the nation. It demands charges, including sedition against the guilty.

Sathish Parannur complained that covert cells operate in the name of ‘Prathibha Nair’ which operates to instigate conflicts and to torpedo the country’s unity. It is for bringing discord and disharmony in the society.

The Chief Minister’s Additional Secretary has reportedly confirmed that the complaint has been forwarded to the State Police Chief for a comprehensive investigation. Preliminary findings are reported to have suggested that the post originated from a fake FB account.

The Keralites believe that Kerala Police is efficient enough to book the culprits in no time, as they could in the case of the defamatory FB posts against the chief minister.

Unfortunately, these sorts of derogatory FB posts are happening on Malayalam social media against nationalist leaders including the Prime Minister of Bharat.
