Amid the ongoing row over the deteriorating state of law and order in Bihar, the brutal murder of the print media journalist Vimal Kumar Yadav by unknown assailants in wee hours of Friday has once again ignited a fresh war of tug between the ruling alliance of Janata Dal United (JDU) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) with the opposition led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In a press briefing released on Friday, August 18, Union Minister of state, Nityanand Rai said that “the law and order situation in the state has collapsed and criminals are carrying their act in open, the murder of Vimal Kumar Yadav is nothing but murder of law and the media ” Ye Kalam aur Kanoon ki Hatya hai.”

Back to back incidents like this are reflecting the failed state of law and order in the state. These incidents are a testimony that the criminals hold no fear of the law and are being protected by the ruling alliance of JDU-RJD. Some time ago Vimal’s brother was also murder, he was the only eye witness of that murder, added further, Rai.

Further while highlighting the figures of the murders and rape took place in the last one year the BJP law maker from Bihar quoted that around 3000 murders and around 500 cases of rape have come to the fore in the last one year, which exposed the reality of law and order in the state.

Nitish Kumar and Tejaswi Yadav should stop giving protection to the criminals and miscreants. This government is neither bothered about the development nor about the security of the people. It’s a failed government, concluded  Rai.
