For the past few years the cryptocurrency traders have alleged that they are harassed by police officials as they demand bribes from them so that they can clear their names from online fraud cases even if they are not involved in it.

When the cryptocurrency traders refuse to pay the bribe then their bank accounts are frozen and in certain instances, the crypto currency traders are arrested and put behind bars.

In this recent incident wherein corruption by police has been exposed, the Kerala police have arrested four police officials, including an inspector for allegedly demanding bribes from an accused of crypto currency case.
