As many as nine people of two families have reverted to Sanatana Dharma during a Ghar Wapsi ceremony organized in Silfili area of Bhatgaon in Surajpur of Chhattisgarh on August 2.

The Ghar Wapsi ceremony which was held in the premises of the Shiva temple in Ghordega, Pasangnala of Silifili in Bhatgaon started with a Rudrabhishek following which Prabal Pratap Judev, a scion of the Jashpur Royal family welcomed the returnees back to their bonafide religion by washing their feet with the holy water of Ganges.

A number of youths from the nearby regions also participated in the religious gathering in which the BJP leader was seen distributing Prasad among the devotees after the ‘Rudrabhishek’.

Interacting with the media on the occasion the BJP leader who may also contest the upcoming state assembly elections from Bhatgaon said ” Ghar Wapsi is a holy Yagya of my father’s unalienable pledge in which I will be offering till my life.”

Members of two local families have reverted back to Sanatana, may the uninterrupted flow of Sanatan continues, it is the soul of the human civilization, Jay Bharat, Jay Sanatan, added Prabal Judev who also heads Akhil Bhartiya Ghar wapsi Abhiyan from the tribal heartland of Jashpur.

"घरवापसी" मिशन मेरे स्वर्गीय पिता दिलीप सिंह जूदेव जी के संकल्प का अखंड यज्ञ है जिसमें मैं आजीवन आहूति देता रहूंगा।

Meanwhile the Organiser representative also spoke separately with Prabal Judev who said “that he sees Surguja division turning out since it’s tribal turning out to be soft target for missionaries and Jehadis. Someone has to step and stop conversions, land, love Jihad, cow smuggling and all anti hindu activities or else none will be left.”

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in a similar ceremony held in Jawahar Nagar of Durg in April this year, around 100 families were reverted to Sanatan fold from Christianity. As reported by the Organiser, the homecoming of these people is performed in the program under the name of “Rashtra Raksha Mahasammelan evam Ghar wapsi” jointly organized by the Sarvhitkari Manav Seva and other Hindu outfits working in the region.

Earlier in another similar ceremony held in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh around 1100 people belonging to around 300 families were also brought back to Sanatan fold in January this year. The ceremony which witnessed hundreds of locals make a comeback in the Sanatan fold was held on the third day of Shrimad Bhagwat Gita Katha.

In another such event around 1200 people mostly converted by the Christian missionaries were also reverted back to the Sanatan fold in a Gharwapsi ceremony organised in Katangpalli village last year.

Let us tell you that the tribal dominated state of Chhattisgarh has a long history of illegal conversion promoted by the Christian missionaries. A number of reports pertaining to illegal conversion in the state have also surfaced from time to time where the local tribals were not only lured with financial aid and better education for their children but were also promised illness free life if they choose to convert in Christianity.

On the other hand the growing number of converts among the tribal have also led to the scuffle between the local tribals and the newly converted Christians on a number of occasions. The notable among them was when a violent clash erupted between the two communities in Gorra village of Narayanpur on the eve of Christian new year.

The altercation led to similar clashes between the communities in the days to come following which calls of shutdown in Bastar were also given by the tribal groups alleging that the local police under the pressure of the missionaries are only harassing the members of the Vanvasi community.
