Veteran RSS Pracharak Madan Das Devi passes away, PM Modi pays tribute

Veteran Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Pracharak, (Former Sahasarakaryavah, Former National Organising Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat) Madan Das Devi ji (81 years) passed away at 5.00 AM on July 24 at Rashtrotthana Hospital, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru.

Veteran RSS Pracharak, (Former Sahasarakaryavah, Former National Organising Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat) Sri Madan Das Devi ji (81years) passes away at 5.00 AM on Monday morning at Rashtrotthana Hospital, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences over the demise of Madan Das Devi. While paying his tributes to the veteran leader, PM Modi recalled his personal association with the departed soul and added that he had got an opportunity to learn a lot from him.

He further said Devi had dedicated his life to serve the country selflessly. PM Modi in his tweet also asked God to give strength to all the workers and the family members to bear this irreparable loss.

श्री मदन दास देवी जी के देहावसान से अत्यंत दुख हुआ है। उन्होंने अपना पूरा जीवन राष्ट्रसेवा में समर्पित कर दिया। उनसे मेरा न सिर्फ घनिष्ठ जुड़ाव रहा, बल्कि हमेशा बहुत कुछ सीखने को मिला। शोक की इस घड़ी में ईश्वर सभी कार्यकर्ताओं और उनके परिवारजनों को संबल प्रदान करे। ओम शांति!

Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari also expressed his grief over the passing away of senior RSS leader Madan Das Devi.

RSS mentioned on its twitter handle that people could pay tributes at Keshavakrupa, RSS Prant Karyalaya at Bengaluru at 1.30 PM till 4.00 PM, on July 24. The last rites will be held at Pune (Maharashtra) at 11.00 AM on Tuesday, July 25.
