In yet another incident of luring a Hindu woman with a fake Hindu Identity, a Muslim youth Identified as Nishant Reja alias Nishant Raj was arrested from the Mathiyadih colony of Chhatauni of East Champaran district in Bihar on May 29.

As per the reports, the accused, Nishant Reja, was residing in the Mathiyadih colony under a fake identity of Nishant Raj.

He is a resident of Chaklalu village under Mehsi police station limits of Motihari; Nishant Reja possessed two separate aadhar cards with different names as one of the Aadhar cards owned by him read his name as Nishant Raj while the others read him as Nishant Reja s/o Motiur Rehman.

It’s been reported that Nishant Reja introduced him as a Hindu Brahmin and rented a room at Mathiyadih in Chhatauni; he also told her landlady that he was a journalist and made an intimate relationship with her on the pretext of providing her with a job and solving her property dispute.

After some time, he also managed to lure the lady’s daughter-in-law and recorded objectional videos of both.

However, after luring both women, Nishant Reja started blackmailing them and threatening to post their intimate videos on the internet; the accused was also harassing the woman to register her property in his name; fed up with the harassment of Nishant Reja, both the women then reached the police station and registered a complaint against the accused following which the police had arrested him from Mathiyadih.

After the arrest of the accused, it’s been revealed that Nishant Reja also possessed a fake character certificate which he claimed to obtain from the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) itself; he also claimed to be the editor of a media group ‘Tarang’.

It’s been learnt that the accused, Nishant Reja, is a habitual blackmailer, and objectionable videos of a few other women have also been recovered from his phone.

Briefing the media on the arrest, SP East Champaran Kantesh Mishra said that ‘the accused who was portraying himself as a journalist has been arrested on the basis of a complaint of sexual exploitation filed by two women. The accused is being sent to jail while the medical of the complainants are also being conducted.’

It is to be noted that a number of cases in which Muslim youth portraying themselves as Hindus have come to the fore lately where in most of the cases, the victims were initially unaware of the real identity of the accused, and they only got to know about after they lost their modesty to the accused.

Recently, in a similar case in which a Muslim youth has depicted himself as a Hindu youth, a Hindu girl Dhan Devi, a resident of Nayi Basti under Devaraniya police station limits of Bareilly district, was sexually exploited by the accused Mohammad Alim for nearly one and a half year.

It’s been learnt that the youth Alim was a student of the same coaching centre where the victim was studying and had initially introduced himself to the victim girl as Anand; the accused also used to wear Kalawa in his hand, he also had promised Dhan Devi to get married and made intimate relation with her at his friends’ house.

It’s been reported that the accused allegedly recorded objectionable video of the victim girl and threatened her to upload it to the internet if the latter didn’t comply with his demands.

The victim girl only got to know about the real identity of the accused when she went to his ancestral house at Jadopur after she got pregnant; it’s been learnt that the accused family also pressurized the victim to abort the child and get married to Alim after converting to Islam.

It’s been reported that after the girl refused to convert, the family of the accused asked Alim to get an abortion, which was later done at a private nursing home in Hafeezganj; after the abortion, the accused Alim and his family also threatened Dhan Devi for dire consequences if she ever told anyone about the incident.

However, the victim girl mustered courage and filed a complaint against the accused at the Devraniyan police station on May 29. As of now, the accused has not been arrested by the police.
