Rajasthan: Ajmal Khan rapes & forcefully marries Hindu woman, convert her to Islam, throws her Hindu idols out of house

Rajasthan, India: A 38-year-old Hindu woman from Udaipur, Rajasthan has filed a police complaint against a 57-year-old village development officer Ajmal Khan for sexual assault and forceful conversion to Islam. Furthermore, the victim has also complained that he forced her into marriage and raped her. It is pertinent to note that Ajmal Khan is already married to two other women according to the complaint.

It was reported that the incident happened in Udaipur’s Savina village. The victim stated in her police complaint that Ajmal Khan made her hostage and forced her to consume intoxicants, then he raped her and recorded a video of the incident. Thereafter, he used the recorded video to force her to marry.

Ajmal Khan also threatened the victim claiming that he would abduct and sell her 8-year-old daughter if she refuses to marry him and convert to Islam. Therefore, the victim married Ajmal Khan and converted to Islam under fear due to his threats. The victim and her 8-year-old daughter were given Islamic names after the victim’s marriage to Ajmal Khan. He also threw away the images and idols of Hindu deities from the victim’s house.

It was reported that Ajmal Khan did not reveal to the victim his previous marriages, instead, he told her that he was unmarried. The victim later discovered that he was married to two other women already.

The victim found out about Ajmal Khan’s earlier marriage on April 2, when he went to his first wife. The victim went home to find out about him. Thereafter, Ajmal Khan assaulted the victim which caused an injury to her eye and hand, according to the complaint.

The victim then went to Savina Police Station and filed a complaint against Ajmal Khan, after which he filed a cross-complaint alleging that the victim blackmailed him to extort money. However, Police Officer Yogendra Vyas has said that a case has been registered for rape and religious conversion, which is being investigated, and all parties will be questioned after collecting evidence.
