A letter asking Hindu men to trick Muslim women into their love trap bearing the letterhead of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) is viral on social media platforms. The fake letter was shared on April 8, carrying twelve specific lessons to trap Muslim women.
According to the Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) handle, ‘D-Intent Data’ reported by OpIndia, AIMIM (All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen) supporter Shahavaj Anjum Siddiquee was the first to post the screenshots of the fake letter.
It also found discrepancies in the logo of the RSS, printed on the letter. “Upon research, we found an original statement of RSS on a news portal website, upon closely observing we found that logo is then original.” the handle said.
Among many who shared the letter with inappropriate captions social media activists and influencers have demanded action against Shahavaj Anjum who shared the letter at first.
He wrote, “RSS plays a dirty game against Muslims,
Hindu boys should trap Muslim women in their fake love so that they leave their houses and have no other option but to live with them. These men will get 5 Lakh rupees.
RSS is openly plotting tricks to defame Muslim women.
To save our daughters and women share this Tweet”

By the end of the Tweet, he used hashtags like Bhagwa Love Trap, Bhagwa Prem Exposed, Sangh Prem Jaal, Bhagwa Atanki and Ban Bhagwa terrorist organisations. It also read, RSS terrorist and Ban Bajrang Dal.
Notably, Sunil Ambekar Ji, the Akhil Bhartiya Prachar Pramukh, RSS condemned the forces who are trying to defame the organisation.

Notably, his Twitter bio shows he works for the AIMIM party and hails from Kishanganj Bihar. He has a verified Twitter account with 5,248 followers. Organiser Weekly also checked his Facebook account which shows he has 1.7 thousand followers. His about section on Facebook shows he is a social worker at AIMIM Kochadhman and hails from the Kishanganj district of Bihar.
Various social media users including Journalists and others have demanded action be taken against Shahavaj by the Bihar Police. Bihar Police often takes action against Fake News peddlers on social media. The users demanded simile action against the Islamists who tried to defame the RSS. There is anger among the activists following the biased administrative action against journalist and YouTuber Manish Kashyap.
A journalist from Bihar, Ajeet Bharti wrote, “@bihar_police kindly take action against this Muslim man who is trying to create a law and order situation by disrupting the peace between two communities”

Another journalist Abay Pratap wrote, “Bihar police claims to be at service 24/7 and hence should take action against this man who is trying to spread venom against RSS”
So far no action has been taken against Shahavaj, neither he has deleted the Tweet nor his his account got suspended.
Apart from Shahavaj, those who shared the fake letter include two journalists namely Mohammad Tanvir and Hamza Siddiqui (lives in Dubai, UAE).
Tanvir also used hashtags like Bhagwa Love Trap.
It is pertinent to mention here that the letter was shared in leaps and bounds in other social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. A Twitter account named Hwak Eye, shared some shocking numbers showing the intensity with which this fake news was spread.
The one thing that remained common with the letter post was the caption hashtags.

The controversial fact-checking website, ‘Alt News’ also did a fact-check on the alleged letter being Fake and found it to be true. As the letter was defaming RSS, the Alt News did not dig it deep and it looks like the report was made to stay away from the trolls.
The basic thing missing from the report was the man who shared the information at first.
The founder of the propaganda website Mohammad Zubair is facing trolls after sharing the fact-check report. His followers asked him if he takes money to do such fact checks.

This is not the first time that fake news has been peddled ta malign the image of RSS similar news was spread in February 2023. Back then news portals reported that RSS is going to build their headquarters on a 100-acre land in Ayodhya.
However, an FIR was registered against many news websites including Dainik Bhaskar, Haribhoomi and News 24.
‘The RSS is getting ready to mark its 100th anniversary in 2025. Prior to this, they intend to build a second headquarters in Ayodhya. The Housing Development Board has been requested to provide 100 acres of land for this. This property is desired by the Sangh under the Green Fieldship Program (Navya Ayodhya),’ claimed the media houses.
