Dr Mohan Bhagwat to inaugurate Rashtriya Sewa Bharati’s Sewa Sangam; 3 days event to focus on ‘Narsewa, Narayan Sewa’

Rashtriya Sewa Bharati, a selfless organisation active in the service sector for twenty years, is organising Rashtriya Sewa Sangam in Jaipur from April 7-9. More than 4,000 representatives of 1000+ voluntary service organisations dedicated to social development is participating in the 3rd edition of Mahasangam of Sewa Bharati.

Self-reliant & prosperous India will be the theme of the grand Rashtriya Sewa Sangam 2023. During a press conference on March 21 at the Press Club of India, New Delhi, Rashtriya Sewa Bharati made an official announcement about these developments.

Key speakers at the press conference included National President of the Rashtriya Sewa Bharati Pannalal Bhansali and General Secretary Renu Pathak.

Both threw light on the special Sewa Karya done by Rashtriya Sewa Bharati, the challenges faced by them and the organisations’ efforts in rural as well as urban India. During the conference, it was highlighted that Rashtriya Sewa Bharati has provided employment to over 25,000 people in one year and has constantly contributed in fields such as education, health, skill development, and women empowerment.

“The primary focus of the Rashtriya Sewa Bharati is to provide education and training opportunities to all to empower every individual of the country towards realising the Government’s vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. The main and implicit objective of the Rashtriya Sewa Sangam is to build a harmonious, capable, and self-reliant society and a prosperous India by establishing synergy between the collective efforts of the voluntary organisations associated with Rashtriya Sewa Bharati,” stated National President of the Rashtriya Sewa Bharati Pannalal Bhansali.

“Sewa Bharati is an umbrella organisation with the motto of ‘Nar Seva Narayan Seva’, which encourages and supports voluntary organisations serving the deprived and neglected people. Sewa Bharati is trying to bind the society and making it strong and harmonious through a total of 43045 service projects including 16184 efficiency projects, 10513 health projects, 6805 self-help projects, 9543 social projects”, he further added.

“12187 self-help groups are being operated in 117 districts of the country, in which there are about 1,20,000 members. Among these groups, 2451 groups are active in the works of self-reliance. Self-help groups are being run in 55 districts of the country in Vaibhavshree Rachna. There are 27494 members in these,” added Pannalal Bhansali.

During the conference, deliberations were also made on how Rashtriya Sewa Bharati has been fervently dedicated to educating, training and empowering women across the country. Recently Rashtriya Sewa Bharati has undertaken key initiatives like Run for Girl Child in Hyderabad and Kishori Vikas programme to promote women empowerment.

Awareness of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati’s past accomplishments, organisation’s vision and objectives for the next five years were also discussed.

Furthermore, the Rashtriya Sewa Bharati members informed the gathering regarding future activities on self-reliance for women and youth in urban areas.

The key speakers also spoke on the importance of the Rojgaar Policy in Pali, Rajasthan, and its effectiveness in creating livelihood.
