Who can forget the sacrifice of revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru who accepted noose as garlands to make sure their coming generations take birth in a free India. On this fateful date March 23, 1931 these heroes were hanged by the oppressive British government in India. On this mournful day, Khalistani extremists are calling one of the revolutionary Bhagat Singh a traitor.
On March 23, a video clip from a violent Khalistani protest was shared on the internet. In this video a Sikh man surrounded with flags of Khalistan can be seen saying in Punjabi, ‘Bhagat Singh was a traitor. He proved Sikh leaders as terrorists. He proved the whole Sikh community as terrorist by licking the shoes of Brahmins. He is not ‘Shaheed-e-Azam’ he is just a traitor. Shaheed-e-Azam’s are those who sacrificed their lives for the Khalsa.’
He added further that, ‘Khalsa will be established all around the world and that the idea of Khalsa took birth to rule’.

Another user wrote, ‘This is the point where people who are following this whole khalisatni things should leave these leaders’.
Another user quoted the Tweet and wrote, “This is not tolerable at all. Insulting our national hero that too on #ShaheediDiwas . This bastard should get his due at any cost, this is too much. There should be an end to this Khalistan nonsense.”

A user wrote, “Never thought I would see the day when an Indian would abuse Bhagat Singh. Clearly these people are not Indians”.
Contrary to these infringe Khalistani supporters the whole nation paid tribute to the revolutionaries who sacrificed their life at a very young age. Some users recalled their courageous life and revolutionary thoughts, others recalled theyr sayings and poems.

On one side the whole nation is celebrating the courageous deeds of these heroes and on the other Khalistani supporters are calling them ‘traitors’. These protests began after the Punjab police in their massive crackdown nabbed hundreds of supporters of radical Khalistani preacher Amritpal Singh. Singh is yet to be arrested, from the recent visuals he was caught on camera with twisted looks so as to make sure he remains unidentifiable. The Punjab police also shared his several pictures on social media with and without turban, so that people can help them in locating the extremist.
His father Tarsem Singh can be seen saying in media that, ‘why is that when someone tries to advocate for the rights of Punjab such as Deep Singh or Sidhu Moosewala they end up getting killed?’
Well, Singh will soon be nabbed by the police but these extremist thoughts need proper treatment. First visuals of Khalistani’s taking down the Indian flag emerged and now they are calling Bhagat Singh a ‘Traitor’.
