Chhattisgarh: Encounter breaks out between security forces and Maoists; 3 personnel, including an ASI, lost their lives

As many as three personnel, including an ASI of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) have been martyred in an encounter that broke out between the Maoists and the security personnel on February 25 in Sukma of Chhattisgarh.

As per the initial report, the DRG team has been out on a combing operation in the Munder area where at around 9 am armed cadres of proscribed CPI Maoist opened indiscriminate fire upon them, to which the security personnel have too retaliated with full force.

It’s been learnt that the said encounter broke out between Jagargunda and Kunder.

According to the information received, during the gunfight, which is still going on, a total of three personnel of DRG have been martyred, the deceased are identified as ASI Ramuram Nag, Assistant Constable Kunjam Joga and Sainik Vanjam Bheema.

It’s been learnt that Choppers, along with more reinforcements, have been sought by the DRG party, which are being dispatched by the command, it’s been reported that the bodies of martyred personnel have been evacuated by road to the nearby camp, more details related to the incident are still awaited.
