The attack by Hindenburg Research on the Adani Group is a very well-planned and coordinated one. But, do you know who is behind this?

The Hindenburg, in its report, raised concerns about shares of Adani group companies having a possibility of declining from their current levels, owing to high valuations.

Hindenburg criticised the groups’ substantial debt, including pledging share loans and called out its auditors, saying they were not capable of complex audit work. To which the group replied that Adani’s Portfolio has highly effective internal and audit controls and each of the listed companies has a solid governance structure.

This attack is very similar to how anti-India George Soros broke the Bank of England and the Bank of Thailand. After the report of the short-seller Hindenburg research, a cartel of Indians has created a negative narrative against Adani.

This attack on the Adani group actually does not start on January 25, 2023 after the Hindenburg research report, but was initiated in the year 2016-17 from Australia.

Do you know there is an exclusive website managed by an Australian NGO only for defaming Indian industrialist Gautam Adani?

Bob Brown Foundation (BBF), supposedly an environmentalist NGO, runs adaniwatch(.)org The ’cause’ started with opposing Adani’s coal mines projects in Australia but was not limited to. Now the NGO’s website publishes everything & anything i.e. even remotely connected to Adani.

The only aim of this NGO is to target Adani brand image. Their propaganda articles intrude into Indian politics; Freedom of Expression etc. just like any agenda-driven Left organisation, e.g. What would an Australian NGO have to take if Ravish Kumar left NDTV? And why would an environmental NGO endorse a tweet on a BBC Documentary? What’s the real motive?

For some reason, BBF goes soft with opposition. They don’t target the Adani projects in Congress or TMC-led states. They are fine with Rahul Gandhi’s one statement in favour of protest. The narrative is Adani is moving into these states to get away from the Modi-favoured image.

The Adani group got a project for the Carmichael Coal mine in 2010 in Australia. In 2017, a protest against Adani was started by a few NGOs under the leadership of 350.org NGO. They have formed the group #StopAdani to stop this project.

This NGO, 350.org, is heavily funded by the Tides Foundation. 350.org does not disclose its donors. However, it has admitted to receiving funds from the Tides Foundation, a San Francisco-based donor-advised fund that has funnelled hundreds of millions of dollars to liberal groups from donors and foundations wishing to remain anonymous. Groups linked to George Soros and Tom Steyer have also contributed extensively to 350.org.

Who funds Tides Foundation? It has the names of the Soros, Ford Foundation, Rockefeller, Omidyar, and Bill Gates.

An Indian NGO National Foundation for India (NFI) also got funds from Soros, Ford Foundation, Rockefeller, Omidyar, Bill Gates, and Azim Premji.

Under the leadership of Azim Premji an NGO IPSMF was started, which funds Altnews, The Wire, The Caravan, The News Minute, etc., propaganda news websites.

Seema Chisti, wife of CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury is the Media Fellowship adviser at NFI. She is the Editor of The Wire. She also writes for The Caravan.

Propaganda news websites, The Wire has a special tie-up with Soros, Ford, Bill Gates, Azim Premji, Omidyar, and Rockefeller-funded NFI. Interestingly, The Wire has written a series of five propaganda articles against Adani regarding their Australia project in 2017.

Dhanya Rajendran, the co-founder of The News Minute is also a Media Fellowship adviser at NFI. The News Minute is funded by IPSMF and received support from Soros via MDIF. Dhanya Rajendran has created a cartel of people and propaganda websites with the name Digipub.

Money laundering accused, hard-core communist Prabir Purkayastha from Newsclick is the vice-chairman of this cartel.

Founding Members of DIGIPUB News India Foundation Organisations are Alt News, Article 14, Boomlive, Cobrapost, HW News, Newsclick, Newslaundry, Scroll, The News Minute, The Quint and The Wire.

Interestingly, all these propaganda websites are funded by IPSMF. One can check the timelines of people involved with propaganda websites, and will find the same propaganda tweets and coordinated attacks against Adani.

The members of this cartel are Dhanya Rajendran, Akash Banerjee (@TheDeshBhakt). Propagandists such Ajit Anjum, Abhisar Sharma, Faye D Souza and Alok Joshi are also members of this cartel.

All these above Digital Sharpshooters get training and funding from foreign NGOs and from their Indian partners to target people or organizations which are nationalists.

New Digital Sharpshooters get their training from these foreign-funded NGOs and they get recruitment by propaganda websites like The Wire, The Caravan, Altnews, Newsclick, etc.

Alishan Jafri who writes for The Wire, The Quint, BBC, Newsclickin, AJEnglish got a fellowship in a foreign-funded NFI. The anti-India BBC documentary was started with him.

Seema Chishti helped and mentored him. Seema Chisti was an editor with BBC for ten years and now she is the editor of The Wire. The Digital Sharpshooters who work for propaganda Websites like The Wire, Article 14, The Caravan, Aljazeera, etc got fellowships from the foreign-funded NFI.

The #StopAdani Australia group also retweets their propagandist articles. The Stop Adani group is continuously retweeting Ravi Nair’s tweets also. Ravi Nair writes for The Wire, Newsclick, and Janta ka reporter which are members of Digipub.

Ravi Nair is a contributor to Adani Watch. Most of his posts are being endorsed by the BBF twitter handle.

Nair is allegedly facing a defamation suit by the Adani group for writing hit-job pieces/posts. Bob Brown has continued to play a leadership role in the Stop Adani campaign, meeting with traditional owners and speaking at numerous rallies and events, including the Stop Adani summit in Sydney in 2017 and a Stop Adani rally in Hobart. The Foundation provided campaign support by producing and distributing 5,000 Stop Adani bumper stickers across the country, free of charge.

In 2020, BBF charity was even challenged in Australia as “not fit to be a charity” by taxpayers. BBF obviously defended the charges citing it’s a registered org at charity only.

Steven Chaffer, who is CEO of BBF, has been associated with Greenpeace & Amnesty (Australia branch) in the past. Incidentally, both of these NGOs in India have been kicked out for several laws violations.

Ritu Kapur, partner and financier of Dhanya Rajendran in The News Minute and co-founder of Digital Sharpshooters cartel Digipub also had a shell company in the UK. They closed it within a few months without filing a yearly return.

Why and who benefitted from such a vicious attack! What more evidence of paid propaganda needed when Adani and Ambani even featured in Greta’s ‘toolkit’? Why these two only? Why not Tata, Premiji, Moorthy, Vadhra, or anyone else?

India’s economic stats at IMF, rising business houses are in the world’s richest list, and certain geo-political stands have definitely irked this propagandist lobby.  And so the 2024 general election is crucial for many.
