Love Jihad case in Assam: Married Jahidul Ali poses as Hindu to trap minor Hindu girl; Victim rescued

The search operation is on to nab the culprit. Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Assam police successfully rescued the girl. This is a case of elopement, and the police will do the needful. Meanwhile, two more people were also arrested from Bongaigaon in connection with the case.

Guwahati: A Hindu Marwari Hindu girl becomes the victim of Love Jihad in Assam. The minor girl has been kidnapped by a married Muslim man named Jahidul Ali. The Muslim man trapped the minor Hindu girl, introducing himself as a Hindu man. The victim girl belongs to a prestigious business family of Duliajan in the Dibrugarh District. The Muslim man was working there as a masonry. He met the girl at their family’s hardware store. Croke Jahidul introduced himself as an unmarried Hindu boy. He trapped the girl in fake love. But Jahidul is married and a father of two.

On December 31, Jahidul kidnapped the girl and reached Guwahati. The victim girl’s family lodged an FIR at the Duliajan police station on January 1. On January 4, police arrested one Badiul Jamal from Dibrugarh city in connection with the kidnapping of a teenager in Duliajan. The arrested Badiul Jamal confessed to the police that he and his brother Jahidul Ali kidnapped the girl from Duliajan on December 31 from a bus.

After coming to know about the police complaint, Jahidul took the girl to a remote riverine area (Char) in the Bongaigaon District. Jahidul and the victim girl were there for the last three days taking shelter in Jahidul’s uncle’s house. On January 4 night, Bongaigaon police searched the area and rescued the victim girl. But the Love Jihadi Jahidul Ali is absconding till now. The search operation is on to nab the culprit. Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Assam police successfully rescued the girl. This is a case of elopement, and the police will do the needful. Meanwhile, two more people were also arrested from Bongaigaon in connection with the case.
