Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the first editor of Rashtra Dharma magazine, had made his intention clear by publishing the poem Hindu Tan-Man Hindu Jeevan Rag-Rag Hindu Mera Parichay in the introduction of the magazine. He considered this as his national religion.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale said that we got political freedom on August 15, 1947, but till today we could not get free from intellectual slavery. We have to get out of this slavery mentality. The British did the work of dividing India for their selfishness. The country’s diversity, which is its beauty, was not only trying to be hurt by the British, but such efforts were also being made in independent India. Our history was misplaced. Hindus of India were declared communal in the illusion of secularism. The work of rectifying this mistake is being done in the new education policy.

Dattatreya Hosabale said in the release programme of ‘Rashtriya Vichar Sadhana’ on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee year of Rashtra Dharma magazine at Ganna Sansthan that Rashtra Dharma is an ideological magazine. On August 31, 1947, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the first editor of Rashtra Dharma, made his intention clear by publishing the poem ‘Hindu Tan-Man, Hindu Jeevan, Rag-Rag Hindu Mera Parichay’ in the introduction of the magazine. He considered this as his national religion. This magazine was started only to wake up the country and the nation. He said that we talk about the welfare of the whole world. We cannot go on ignoring the national religion.

He said that this magazine was started only to get out of the mentality of slavery. We are not against the language, but why should we become slaves of English? I am an English Literature student and Kannada speaking, yet I speak Hindi. Why can’t there be efforts from house to house to learn the language of India? The Sangh tries to teach its swayamsevaks the songs of Indian languages in every Shakha. Right now, in the Sangh Shiksha Varg that is going on in Nagpur, one piece is being taught in Hindi, and one is being introduced in Telugu.

Retired Justice Dinesh Kumar Trivedi said, “this magazine was established to create awareness and culture among the people. National religion is with every religion. This biggest religion for all is nationalism”. On this occasion, the website of Rashtra Dharma was also launched, and old editors were felicitated.

Senior journalist K. Vikram Rao said that the journalist should not show favouritism. Journalists should stand with the truth.

Rashtra Dharma, Editor Prof Om Prakash Pandey, said that the country was agitated after the partition of the country. Revolutionaries were being disobeyed. At such a time, Rashtra Dharma did the work of starting scientific Yagya. On this occasion, former editor of Rashtra Dharma, Anand Mishra Abhay and Vireshwar Dwivedi, was honoured by Sarkaryavah. Apart from this, the editing team, advertising representatives and agents of Rashtra Dharma were felicitated.
