According to detailed information, a Dalit family in the city was beaten up by seven to eight people, including the former municipal president Badshah Sheikh, on October 20. The complainant alleged that Badshah Sheikh also pressured the police not to take the victim woman’s complaint when she went to the Daund police station to file her complaint. According to the complaint, one of the accused, Rashid Shaikh, dragged the victim woman, age 23 years, and did an act that would cause her embarrassment.

After she told this matter her family members about, the family members went to inquire about this. Then the accused beat them up and threatened to kill them. The Daund police have filed a case in this regard, and Sub Divisional Officer Rahul Dhas is investigating further.
