Startling factual revelations in the Foxconn-Vedanta deal have come out and none other than Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra has revealed them.
The Foxconn-Vedanta setting up a plant in Gujarat, blew into a major controversy in Maharashtra. But new facts have exposed the MVA government.
Devendra Fadnavis on Monday claimed that the MVA government that was led by Uddhav Thackeray hadn’t even finalised a land for the Foxconn-Vedanata plant. “It was our government when we came back in power, we showed them the land, and wrote letters to them, even convinced them that we are giving them a better package than that of Gujarat,” said Fadnavis.
This means, when Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis came back to power, they finalised things for the Foxconn-Vedanta deal. Surprisingly Aaditya Thackeray, son of Uddhav and ex-minister during MVA government held a rally in Pune to protest against Foxconn-Vedanta moving to Gujarat. Whereas, according to Fadnavis, the MVA hadn’t even fulfilled the basic criteria of land demarcation for the project.
Fadnavis has said that the government led by Eknath Shinde will give a reply to the rallies held by the opposition leaders by bringing bigger investment than what the MVA government.
The Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government has also decided to bring more job opportunities for the youth in the state.
The Maharashtra government has also decided to give police jobs to 20,000 youth in the state, an advertisement for employing 8,000 youth has been floated, the remaining 12,000 vacant post advertisements will be floated soon.
Also the Hindu festival Navratri may see an additional day where dandiya players may get to play up to 12 midnight. The deadline is that of 10 pm but on two days the deadline for music to be played has been extended up to 12 midnight, there was a demand that the deadline be extended further and Fadnavis said that his ministry has prepared the draft for the same, which the Chief Minister will take a final call upon.
