Urban Naxal Kavita Krishnan has been relieved from all the posts and responsibilities in ultra left wing party CPI(ML) over some basic issues that would’ve been sorted out in a jiffy in any nationalistic organisation but the Left chose to expose its hypocrisy on “tolerance” once again. Kavita, prominent Marxist feminist, touched a nerve by her repeated tweets and opinions on the dictatorship of Stalin and the current Chinese one party hegemony. The left which constantly cries out loud the need for dissent and opposition in the country couldn’t handle slight differences of opinion with a long serving party member.

Kavita Krishnan who wants to embark on a “true communism” journey tweeted in June against the Chinese government:

This is totalitarianism not “socialism” in any sense that Marx meant it. China is a dystopian nightmare. If any Indian communist thinks it’s ok for “communists” to rule like this, then they should ask themselves what kind of democracy they’re fighting for in India? https://t.co/mAEFOXrliL

— Kavita Krishnan (@kavita_krishnan) June 26, 2022

Her tweet on Stalin not only questioned the erstwhile dictator’s rule but also questioned the intelligence of her ilk:

How much of the Left is ignorant of – or in wilful denial of – this fact? That the “miraculous industrialisation of USSR”under Stalin was possible because of the violent subjugation of Ukraine’s peasants (starvation, execution, exile) & colonial expropriation of Ukraine’s grain. https://t.co/WgmvA0YK1k

Just like a vast section of the Indian Muslims look westward to Mecca, the devoted Left turns their gaze towards Mosco to draw inspiration to continue their losing battles in India. Hence her comments were not taken exactly in the best spirit.

In fact internal sources say that it’s been sometime that CPI(ML), the ultra-Left outfit was not very happy with the functioning of Kavita Krishnan. And the clock was ticking.

However Kavita Krishnan says that this was her personal decision and even as she begins a new life she doesn’t miss an opportunity to spew venom at the current political disposition at the Centre. She says “Since 2014, we have been trying to protect even what may be a flawed democracy from totalitarianism and Modi’s authoritarian regime. The kind of State where only the duties of the citizens are stressed, abrogating their rights,” Krishnan charges, adding that this is “mirroring of Putin’s Russia” as “democracy is being reshaped in the country to simply affirm support for the ‘great leader’” and for an “Opposition-mukt Bharat”. “What has made this discussion more urgent has been Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. There is no concept of democracy there (in Russia), where a supposedly benevolent state has all the power, and the citizen has none. We need to look at these socialist states, such as Russia and China, and discuss the conception of the socialist state as a single party government,”

Like a typical Leftist she has equal hatred towards everyone. She doesn’t like capitalist USA, the autocratic Russia led by Putin, one-party rule of China and the fascist Modi. Her interviews post her removal from the party is full of dissatisfaction and dissent with the state of affairs in the world, she speaks fluently on the need to raise issues but has no answers when it comes solutions for the troubled planet and its people.

When asked about her future plans she says she plans do some podcasts and find a platform to think and speak for some time. Well she has a lot to thank Mr. Modi under whom the internet coverage has reached every nook and cranny of this country, so even a poor farmer now can now listen to the nuanced arguments “fascism” prevalent in India while he/she sprinkles some capitalist patented pesticides on his verdure.
