Pranams to Harishankar, a great Hindutva Ideologue

Dr. B.S. Harishankar, Vice President of Bharatiya Vichara Kendram (Kerala Chapter of Prajna Pravah), breathed his last during early hours of August 27, 2022. He was a close associate of late Padma Vibhushan P. Parameshwarji, veteran RSS Pracharak, former Director of Bharatiya Vichara Kendram, former director of Deendayal Research Institute, New Delhi and former national vice president of Bharatiya Jan Sangh. Harishankar’s doctorate was from Deccan School of Indology. He had participated in Mohenjo-daro excavations. He was a member of Indian Institute of Advanced Studies and former Film Censor Board Member. His death has led to the loss of of great Hindutwa ideologue. Harishankar’s famous books “Beyond Rampage – West Asian Contacts of Malabar and Khilafat” and “Unexplored Dimensions of Moplah Riots” give deep insights to contemporary Islamic threats to Hindus and Christians.

S. Chandrasehar, former treasurer of Bharatiya Vichara Kendram told this correspondent about his 36 year long association with the departed soul and the deep affection late Parameshwarji had showered on him. Parameshwarji was as good as a member of Harishankar’s family.
