Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh visited the forward areas of Jammu & Kashmir on June 16, 2022 and took stock of the security situation along the border. He was briefed on the existing ceasefire agreement on the LoC, the overall security situation prevalent on Line of Control and the hinterland, development works on field fortifications, counter infiltration grid, operational preparedness and Army-citizen connect in border areas. He was also briefed on the measures instituted for the safety and security of Amarnath Yatra. Shri Rajnath Singh interacted with the personnel of the Armed Forces, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and J&K Police.

PHILIPPINES SENDS 1ST BATCH OF SOLDIERS TO INDIA FOR TRAINING ON BRAHMOS MISSILES

The Philippines held a send-off ceremony for its first batch of soldiers for training on the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile systems in India. It may be recalled that Philippines had signed a deal worth $374.9 million with BrahMos Aerospace’s for the supersonic cruise missiles for its navy.
