India celebrated December 4, as the Indian Navy Day at Visakhapatnam. Every year it is celebrated to acknowledge role of Indian Navy and commemorate its achievements in the 1971 War. For the first time, Navy Day celebrations were conducted outside the National Capital this year. The Indian Navy demonstrated its combat prowess and capability through an ‘Operational Demonstration’ on Navy Day. The President of India and the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, Smt. Droupadi Murmu was the Guest of Honour for operational demonstration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his message, lauded the Indian Navy on Navy Day, saying it has steadfastly protected our nation and
distinguished itself with its humanitarian spirit during challenging times.

VICE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF PROCEEDS ON A VISIT TO MALAYSIA

Lieutenant General BS Raju, the Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) has proceeded on a three-day visit to Malaysia on December 8, 2022. The VCOAS is scheduled to call on the Deputy Chief of Malaysian Army and Chief of Staff of Malaysian Armed Forces, where he will exchange ideas on issues of mutual interest. He will also witness various training activities of the ongoing joint ‘Exercise Harimau Shakti’ and interact with the troops.
