Imphal, June 21, 2022: The 8th International Yoga Day- 2022 was organized by Kreeda Bharati Manipur today at Manipur Trade cum Permanent Exhibition Centre Lamboi khongnang Khong, Imphal, with more than 630 participants, including children from different parts of Manipur.

WHILE GRACING AS THE CHIEF GUEST, Shri Y. Khemchand Singh, Hon’ble Minister MAHUD, RD&PR, Manipur, spoke on the importance of Yoga and well-being. He encourages the participants to make Yoga a part of life, not an event.

Shri Sunil Ambekar ji, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, while speaking as Mukshya Vakta, recalls the Bharatiya tradition of sharing and helping by citing the example of Yoga.

He emphasizes that even though Yoga germinates from Bharat, the people of Bharat are very happy to share the benefits of Yoga with the world. Yoga has been practised in Bharat since time immemorial, but even in the 21 century, the practice of Yoga shines like pure gold. Yoga Day is a global event and a global movement for health and well-being. Sunil Ji recalled the global acceptance of Yoga by stating that there were only supporters of Yoga when Yoga Day was introduced in the United Nations General Assembly.

Shri T Sobhachandra Singh, President of Kreeda Bharati Manipur, while speaking as the President of the function, highlighted the importance of strengthening the practice of Yoga.
