In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh, Mohammed Pervez, a saloon owner, stabbed Shivshankar to death because he objected to Pervez serving customers who came later first.
On Wednesday (June 1) night, Shivshankar had returned home late from work. He went to the nearby saloon for shaving. There were a few customers already waiting for their turns.
So, Shivshankar also started waiting for his turn.
After some time, Pervez started serving customers who came later. Shivshankar objected to this. The argument escalated and Pervez used the shaving knife to stab Shaivshankar in the neck multiple times.
Witnessing the commotion in the shop, people gathered. Shivshankar was lying on the ground and bleeding profusely.
He was rushed to the district hospital in Azamgarh. Doctors referred him to the higher centre as he was very critical. On the way to another hospital, Shivshankar passed away.
The brutal stabbing sent shockwaves in the region. Markets remained closed on Thursday (June 2) to protest Shivshankar’s murder.
He is survived by his parents and four sisters. Based on the complaint of his father, police lodged an FIR against Pervez and arrested him.
