Tamil NaduFour PFI terrorists attack BJP leader and his wife

Eranial Police have arrested four persons, including Shahul Hameed (a member of the PFI intelligence wing) from Nagercoil in connection with the murderous attack on BJP functionary Radhakrishnan and his wife, Renuka. In another incident, RSS worker Balaji with injuries, is admitted to a hospital where his condition is critical.

Radhakrishnan a resident of Panangalmukkai near Pudukkadai in Kanyakumari district. He and his wife Renuka were going to the office at Erumbukaadu. A four-member gang on two motorcycles intercepted them when they passed through Thingalnagar near meykkodu on their bike. The mob attacked them with iron rods. Radhakrishnan sustained severe injuries and fractures in his legs and hands in the attack. The gang attacked his wife, too, besides issuing threats to their lives. Hearing their cries, people nearby rushed and took them to a private hospital. The four-member gang fled the scene.

Based on a complaint from Renuka, Eranial police registered a case. She said there was a dispute between her husband’s brother and an Islamic group from Thengaipattinam, and the previous enmity was the reason for the attack. After viewing CCTV footage, Police arrested Shahul Hameed, a member of the PFI intelligence wing from Nagercoil. It is reliably learnt that Shahul told Police that he was a partner in the distribution of engine and lube oil outlets in Kanyakumari district along with PFI district president Mohd Jishti. He said that he had no role in the incident and gave hostile, contradictory and evasive replies to the police queries. He was later remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.

In another incident, an RSS Swayamsevak M S Murugan, son of Sankar Konar (Yadav) Nellai Thiruthu, died mysteriously; Murugan lives with his wife Ponnuthai, 10-year daughter Sankari and four-year-old Narendra Balan. He was working in a Tyre company at the Gangaikondan Sipcot complex. Police sources said Murugan dropped his brother-in-law Mariappan in Manur Kalakudi village on his motorcycle and returned to this home.
