Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh visited the Headquarters of United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) at Hawaii on April 12, 2022. The USINDOPACOM and Indian military have wide-ranging engagements, including a number of military exercises, training events and exchanges. Raksha Mantri visited the USINDOPACOM headquarters, Pacific Fleet and the training facilities in Hawaii before returning to India.

 

SECOND SUCCESSFUL HIGH-ALTITUDE FLIGHT-TEST OF ANTI-TANK GUIDED MISSILE ‘HELINA’

As part of the ongoing user validation trials, indigenously-developed Anti-Tank Guided Missile ‘HELINA’ was again successfully flight-tested from Advanced Light Helicopter on April 12, 2022. Earlier, validation trials of the ‘Helina’ were conducted at Pokhran in Rajasthan, which proved the efficacy of the missile in desert ranges.

 

ARMY CHIEF INDUCTS INDIGENOUSLY DEVELOPED SPECIALIST VEHICLES INTO SERVICE

On April 12, 2022, General MM Naravane, Chief of Army Staff inducted the first set of indigenously developed Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicle Medium (QRFV), Infantry Protected Mobility Vehicle (IPMV), Ultra Long-Range Observation System developed by Tata Advanced System Limited (TASL) and Monocoque Hull Multi Role Mine Protected Armoured Vehicle developed by Bharat Forge.
