New Delhi: Two BJP Chief Ministers, N Biren Singh from Manipur and Pramod Sawant of Goa, are camping in Delhi for consultation with the party's top leadership. Both the leaders visited Parliament on Wednesday to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other central leaders.

Both tweeted about the children vaccination drive, which commenced nationwide on Wednesday.

"Vaccination is one of the world's most successful and cost-effective health interventions which has saved millions of lives across the globe. During COVID-19 outbreak, we promoted vaccination to protect people of all ages against the virus," Sawant wrote in his message.

Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh also wrote, "My sincere gratitude to Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji for always leading the fight throughout the Covid pandemic. From today, children between the age group of 12-14 can get vaccinated and those above 60 years are eligible to be vaccinated for precaution doses."

Prime Minister Modi also wrote on the microblogging site, "Today is an important day in India's efforts to vaccinate our citizens. Now onwards, youngsters in the 12-14 age group are eligible for vaccines and all those above 60 are eligible for precaution doses. I urge people in these age groups to get vaccinated".

The BJP has returned to power in Manipur on its own with 32 seats in the 60-member assembly, while in Goa, the saffron party has picked up 20 seats in the 40-member assembly.

The recent polls are being held as a massive endorsement of programmes and policies of the Modi government in the centre and various BJP and NDA dispensations in various parts of the country.
