73rd Republic Day celebrated across North East with joy and pride; Tricolour unfurled in every part of the region

Guwahati: The 73rd Republic Day of the nation is being celebrated across the Northeast part of the country. Assam governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi unfurled the Tricolour at the veterinary playground in Guwahati. Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and other dignitaries were present at the celebration. On the occasion of Republic Day CM Dr Sarma said, "On this special day, let's pledge to take our country & state to a new pinnacle of glory." 

In Manipur, Governor La Ganesan unfurled the national flag at Kangla, Imphal. CM N Biren Singh and other distinguished dignitaries took part in the celebration. CM Singh said,"As we celebrate this landmark day, let us all re-dedicate ourselves to work together and  make Manipur a land of peace & prosperity."

Tripura governor Satyadeo N Arya hoisted the tricolour at Assam Rifles Ground in Agartala. CM Biplab Kumar Dev and top officials of the state government along with distinguished personalities of the state were present at the Republic day celebration.

 Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra Ji (retd) unfurled the tricolour at Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar on the joyous occasion of the 73rd Republic Day. CM Pema Khandu tweeted,"Proud to attend the celebration. We are proud citizens of our great nation. As we celebrate our democracy, let us uphold the values of the Constitution,honour the sacrifice of our forefathers & work for the progress of our country."

India's 73rd Republic day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Meghalaya also. The celebration took place at Shillong polo ground. CM Conrad Sangma said, "We are proud citizens of our great nation. As we celebrate our democracy, let us uphold the values of the Constitution, honour the sacrifice of our forefathers & work for the progress of our country."

Mizoram also celebrated India's Republic day with joy and pride. The central program was held at the capital city Aizawl. Governor D K Haribabu unfurled the national flag. CM Zoramthanga on the occasion said, " On this 73rd Republic Day, let us rededicate ourselves to carry on the spirit of Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity – on which our Constitution is enshrined."

The 73rd Republic day of India is also celebrated with joy and the spirit of nationalism. CM Neiphiu Rio tweeted, "Happy to be part of the 73rd #RepublicDay celebration at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza. Greetings and good wishes to the citizens of Nagaland and the nation on this solemn day. Happy #RepublicDayIndia."
