Guwahati: Muslim man threatened to kill Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for his comment on Babur, Nizams and Owaisi in Telangana on Sunday. BJYM filed a complaint in the Dispur police station and demanded the immediate arrest of Ahammad Ali, who wrote on social media that he would kill the chief minister.

Assam Chief Minister, Dr Sarma, was in Telangana on Sunday (9th January) to address the BJP Karyakartas in a protest rally. Targeting Asaduddin Owaisi CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Like the Mughal rulers, Babur, Nizams, Owaisi's name also will be forgotten soon. We will make an India where there will be no place for both Aurangzeb and Owaisi in our history."

The CM speech was telecasted by local media in Assam too. On a social media page of a news portal of Assam, a Muslim man Ahammad Ali threatened the Chief Minister for his comment on the Mughal and Owaisis. Ahammad Ali wrote on social media in Assamese that he will finish (kill) the chief minister before the Mughal history ends. BJYM lodged an FIR in Guwahati against the threat on Tuesday. In the FIR, Yuva Morcha mentioned that CM Sarma's comment was political, and he was talking about the political influence of Owaisi. The comment of the CM was not personal, but a political one.

BJYM Guwahati president Niharendra Sharma spoke with Organiser and said, "A section of people in Assam misrepresented Dr Sarma's comment and threatening the CM on social media is not acceptable. We demand the immediate arrest of the person for his deadly comment against the CM in social media."
