Once a haven for migrant Muslim encroachers, Dhalpur evicted land is now an integrated Agri farm where hundreds of local youth are engaged in fish farming, poultry, piggery, milk production, paddy cultivation etc. Modern Gaushala constructed bringing Gir cows from Gujarat.

Guwahati: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone of Dholpur Bhagawat Namghar on Wednesday (December 1). This is the same place where thousands of migrant Muslim families were evicted by the government. PFI trained miscreants attacked the police force during the eviction on September 26 and injured 11 police personnel on duty. Two attackers were also killed in police retaliation. But after the tough stand of the state government, all the encroachers vacated the place. 5000 bighas of the evicted land have been converted to an integrated Agri farm. Hundreds of young farmers are engaged in the Dhalpur project. A 'Gaushala' is also installed in the place; 118 Gir cows were brought from Gujarat for milk production. The local farmers also do large scale mustard seed cultivation.

Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over warm clothes to 616 Agro Soldiers and sanctioned rupees1 crore for the construction of the Namghar (Assamese mandir created by Srimanta Shankardev)

He visited agricultural fields & piggery at Dholpur and interacted with the farmers on December 1, 2021. He inaugurated the erosion protection project at Moranoi at Dholpur on Wednesday.

CM Dr Sarma laid the foundation stone of the Weaving Training Centre at Naljhar, Gorukhuti, constructed in the evicted land. Speaking on occasion, the CM said, "Let us make Gorukhuti a shining example of Assamese pride and prestige, which will inspire our youths to work hard and prosper. Assamese defeated Mughals 17 times and it is time to regain our lost glory with hard work and dedication."

Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma also launched a solar power project and fishery at Gorukhuti. He Sarma offered prayers at the historic Dholpur Shiva Mandir, which was encroached by migrant Muslims for a long time. The state government evicted the encroachers of the mandir, and reconstruction works of the 5000 years old mandir is going on.
