CM Deb lashed out at the opposition for slashing the petrol-diesel price and explained how the ease of doing business facilitated by the BJP government has inspired many people to do business in the state.
Agartala: Attacking the Mamata Banerjee led TMC without naming it. Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Dev said, "Some rainy frogs are coming to seek political opportunity. They will vanish once the political rainy season is over."
The chief minister added, "They aim to exploit the common people, and they have come to do so in Tripura." Saying that only the BJP government has done numerous welfare works for the people of Tripura, Biplab Deb stated that people have now ample opportunities to work in the state. Citing an example in a program in Agartala on Monday (November 8), chief minister Deb said a well-settled couple in Mumbai came back to Tripura during the COVID-19 lockdown last year. An educated, well-settled girl from Mumbai and her husband from the state decided to stay back in Tripura and start their own business. He said the ease of doing business facilitated by the BJP government has inspired many people to do business in the state.
Attacking Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, CM Deb said, "The congress leaders intentionally narrated to the world that the Indian economy will move 50 years backwards due to the covid impact and wrong policies. They tried to create a scary environment to frighten the international investor, so that they didn't invest in India and planned to break the economy. But the reputation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed the intention of the Congress leadership, and the Indian economy is reviving after the pandemic. GST collection has touched a new height, which means the economy is on the right path of revival."
He also said that a small state like Tripura has cut 7 rupees on petrol-diesel price, but the opposition ruling states accusing the central government of the price hike didn't dare to cut a single penny on fuel price.
