In a shocking video being widely shared on social media, BJP workers are being seen lynched to death by people masquerading as 'Farmers' in Lakhimpur Kheri in U.P. Union Minister Ajay Mishra said that stones were pelted, BJP workers were attacked, and a driver was lynched in the violence.

Opposition parties are saying that "farmers were killed in Lakhimpur"

The driver was Hari Om Mishra, whose vehicle, as per the Minister's aides, was pelted with stones in Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3. These aides claim Mishra lost his balance when one stone hit his head, overturning the vehicle. The vehicle also had BJP's zonal chief Shyam Sundar and booth president Shubham Mishra, who, along with the driver, were allegedly beaten with sticks and stones by agitating farmers. Later, their vehicle was set on fire.

The Union minister of state for home said neither his son nor he was present at the site when the incident occurred. He said, "Some elements in farmers, who were protesting, showed black flags and pelted stones on the car which turned turtle. Two farmers came under the car and died."

Meanwhile, opposition parties are trying to flare up the issue with the backing of certain toolkit media houses.
