INA soldiers stepped into India from Rangoon from three directions and ultimately hoisted the national flag on 14th April 1944 Moirang in Manipur.

Imphal: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Manipur, has marked the 75th Independence Day at Seva Bharati office Nagamapal, Imphal on Sunday with North East Media Coordinator Dr. Sunil Mohanty and local karyakartas.

Dr. Sunil Mohanty stated people should join to take the opportunity to remember the freedom fighters who took important roles in the struggle for independence, as well as the freedom fighters from the north-eastern region.

“On this day let us relive the memory of the great freedom fighters like Subhashchandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Lal-Bal-Pal and the brave hearts from Manipur who played their part in the struggle to regain the lost freedom of India which was once elevated to the rank of Vishwa Guru and reckoned as the bird that lays the golden eggs,” Dr. Sunil Mohanty said.

He also urged the people to make significant contributions in tracing the unforgettable deeds of the unsung heroes who were unfortunately omitted from the pages of history and give them their due recognition.

INA soldiers stepped into India from Rangoon from three directions and ultimately hoisted the national flag on 14th April 1944 Moirang in Manipur. The words spoken in the interviews of the leaders of the struggle which North East Centre took are worth remembering even now. It has become a great source of inspiration for the protection of our territory. He stated while adding, “The spirit of sacrifice for our motherland which is embedded in us from time memorial should become a trait that will last till eternity. Our motherland has given us everything, let us learn to give something back in return.”
