Reports of forced fleeing of Hindus from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh are coming out. 81 families of Lajpat Nagar Shiv Vihar Colony have collectively put up posters of 'Makan Bikau Hai' in a locality in Katghar area. Locals allege that the houses that are present at both the main doors of the colony have been purchased by Muslim people. It is alleged that they have paid three times more than the current market price for this. Locals allege that Muslims are deliberately throwing waste of meat in front of Hindu houses.

Locals say most of the people in the colony are vegetarian eaters. It has been a posh colony where house buying and selling continue. Local Hindus allege that houses worth Rs 50 lakh are being purchased for Rs 3 crore. At the same time, they have demanded an inquiry from the Government as to where so much money has come from.

Many of the ancestors of Hindus living in this colony came to as refugees from Pakistan. Now they are in a situation that they would have to feel their houses due to Muslims.

The ADG of Bareilly zone has directed Moradabad police to take action in the matter. Local Hindus allege that Muslims are conspiring to drive them out of the colony. Meat and dirt were thrown in front of the houses during Bakrid. Hindus say that even if they are forced to sell everything and flee from here, they will not convert to Islamic conversions at any cost.

Local BJP leaders have also confirmed the allegations made by the people of the colony. The local BJP corporator says that 30 percent of the houses in the colony have been purchased by the Muslim community.
