In its meeting of Madhya Bharat in Bhopal on Sunday (August 1), VHP working president Senior Advocate Alok Kumar also demanded that temples and mutts be freed from government control.
The Madhya Bharat meeting of the Vishva Hindu Parishad in Bhopal concluded on Sunday (August 1). The VHP demanded a central law against conversion.
“There are laws in 11 states for prevention of forceful conversion, however, this problem is nationwide. Thus there is a need of raising this issue unanimously countrywide and unified one law against the illegal conversions. Only then will there be freedom from this curse”, the Free Press Journal quoted VHP working president and Senior Advocate of Supreme Court Alok Kumar.
He added, “From some observations of the Supreme Court and also the past experiences and present situation, the message is very clear before the Central government and so they should without any delay enact a law against forcible religious conversion which is binding for the entire country.”
The VHP had also recently passed a resolution to free the temples and mutts from government control. Advocate Kumar had said Muslim and Christian religious places of working are not controlled by the government but Hindu places of worship are.
He said, “a resolution has been passed to liberate all Mutt-Mandirs (monasteries and temples) from the control of governments.”
He also requested the Hindu society to remain vigilant about the anti-Bharat and anti-Hindu conspiracies, and prevent it by all legal and constitutional methods.
