Hindus are the minority in Pakistan are mostly based in Sindh province.

In the presence of Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan Niazi's close aide Maulvi Mian Mittu, 60 Hindus were forcibly converted to Islam in the Sindh province of Pakistan.

Municipal chairperson Abdul Rauf Nizamani organized the event and supervised the recitation of Kalimas (Islamic oath of allegiance).

Nizamani shared the videos of the conversion event on his social media pages and expressed his happiness in getting the conversion done.

The Union government of India enacted the CAA in December 2019, intending to provide citizenship to persecuted minorities in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

The Act has provisions that speed up granting citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists from the neighboring countries.

Forcible conversion in Afghanistan is a routine affair. A 13-year-old girl was forcibly converted and married off in March in Sindh province. Local authorities started an inquiry, but nothing happened.
