Since the global pandemic hit the world last year, normal life has been thrown out of gear. Ayurveda, with its rich knowledge of thousands of years, has emerged as a strong pillar in this fight.
Yoga practitioners and researchers from across the country are participating in the two-day virtual conference organized by the Kerala-based Vaidyaratnam group. The agenda is to develop a uniform Covid and post-Covid treatment protocol.
The New Indian Express quoted the Vaidyaratnam Group Director Dr. ET Neelakandan Mooss, “As per the latest studies, the third wave of Covid may affect those in the age group up to eighteen. Addressing that issue with an ayurvedic approach using substantial scientific evidence and guidance from experts will be the primary focus this year.”
He added, “The expected outcome is to develop a treatment protocol in Covid management of pediatric cases with advice from an expert panel and have a scientific approach towards Covid and post- Covid management in adults.”
Many experts across the country are discussing the possibility of the third wave and its impact on young children.
The Union government is also gearing up to manage the third wave if it hits.
The AYUSH ministry has released guidelines to boost immunity and increase awareness about preventive care.
