Former CEO of Prasar Bharti Jawhar Sircar Monday tweeted a morphed picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the fake picture, PM Modi could be seen greeting billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita Ambani.

In the original picture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeting the tribal social worker Deepika Mondol.

With the morphed picture, Sircar wrote, “Wish fellow parliamentarians and others in politics also received such courtesy and bonhomie- from their permanently-scowling PM. In a mature democracy, we would know the two-way relationship, favours, transactions. Some day, history will tell us.”

After uproar on social media, Sircar deleted the tweet.

But, tweeting fake news and morphed pictures about the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders is not new for Sircar.

Recently, he had tweeted a fake audio clip of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Sircar was appointed Prashar Bharati CEO by the Congress-led UPA in 2012.
