The Union cabinet was also apprised of the agreement signed with the Maldives in February this year.

Both the agreements are to focus on green mobility, urban development and solid waste management.

The cabinet also approved an agreement with Argentina that will facilitate “mineral exploration, extraction and development.”

In the second tweet, EAM S Jaishankar wrote, “Agreement with Argentina on mineral resources. Will encourage mineral exploration, extraction and development, especially in lithium; facilitate capacity building, exchange of scientific information & ideas.”

A Joint Working Group would be formed soon to operationalise the agreement.
