Defying the Ministry of Electronics and IT’s directive to the social media calling them to remove all the content that refers to the B1.617 variant of the COVID-19 virus as the ‘Indian Virus’, Times Now has again used ‘Indian Virus’ in their tweet and a piece of news posted on their website.

Seeing the senseless tweet from the Times Now Twitter handle, netizens are registering their strong protests and are demanding the IT ministry to take strong action against Times Now.

The Congress toolkit, which was leaked recently, had a point regarding labelling the B1.617 variant as ‘Indian Variant’. The toolkit had been widely condemned for its anti-national content.
