COVID-19 has deepened existing inequalities, hitting the poorest and most vulnerable communities the hardest. It has spotlighted economic inequalities and fragile social safety nets that leave vulnerable communities to bear the crisis’s brunt. For better resource management, India’s government is building a national worker database to provide resources and help to workers, especially blue and grey collar. At the same time, social, political and economic disparities have amplified the impacts of the pandemic. On the economic front, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly increased global unemployment and dramatically slashed workers’ incomes. In alignment with the Indian government, WUS is building a digital worker community where workers can share their knowledge and grievances within their community to help each other.

Considering the social-good WUS is creating, WUS Founder -Prasoon Sharma- was invited to speak at the 37th Churchill conference. In this event, George W. Bush, Former US President And Sir John Major, Former British prime minister, were the keynote speakers. Through the Milestone maker program and mentors, WUS can approach International organization like the International Labour Organization (ILO) to bring global resources and support for the Indian blue and grey collar workers. WUS – a product of PD software Pvt. Ltd- is a Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) recognized startup.
