President Ram Nath Kovind has undergone a successful bypass surgery in All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi Tuesday.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh informed the people of the country about the health of President Kovind Tuesday.
Last Friday, the President was rushed to the Army Hospital Research & Referral in Delhi after he complained of uneasiness in chest.
After medical tests, he was shifted to AIIMS for the surgery Saturday.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called the President’s family and enquired about his health.
