With efforts to free the vessel failing on Saturday, the authorities hope the ship will be ready to sail in next 48 to 72 hours.

The giant vessel, Ever Given, is stuck in the Suez Canal for six days now.

The Evergreen Line, the Taiwan-based operator of the vessel, said the vessel was stuck because of the strong wind.
But the authorities operating the Canal suspect some human error too.

The vessel is stuck in the six kilometre one way stretch of the canal. More than 300 vessels are stuck on either side, waiting for the route to be operational again.

The canal, one of the most important trade routes, helps in carrying 12 per cent of the world trade.
The 2,20,000 tonne ship is carrying items from frozen fish to furniture.
