A teacher was sacked for showing a sketch of Prophet Muhammad in a religious education class in the historic Batley Grammar School in West Yorkshire in Britain.
After the news spread about the teacher having shown caricature of Prophet Muhammad, Muslim parents gathered in the school premises and started protesting.
The school immediately issued an unconditional apology and sacked the teacher.
Muslims make up about 40 per cent of the population in Batley.
The Daily Mail reported the head teacher assured the Muslim parents the school would take precautions in future and would not use any offensive teaching material in future.
