The Uttar Pradesh government is all set to reclaim its land from Rohingyas in Kalindi Kunj area of Delhi.

After getting the administrative nod, the irrigation department is waiting for the support of the police force of the Delhi Police. It is expected to be available in a week.

The Rohingyas had settled on the land of Zakat Foundation. There was a massive fire in the settlement in April 2018.
The Uttar Pradesh government had allowed them to stay on its land. But the understanding was that it would be vacated soon.

But it has been three years. The Rohingyas, with support from the local AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, started making settlements on the land.

The number of mud houses has also increased from 36 to 50.

The local MLA has also assured them they would not be asked to vacate the land.

There have been multiple complaints from local residents about Rohingyas.
