Rakesh Tikait, who has emerged as the face of the farmers’ protest in Delhi, warned of another round of violence Wednesday.
Earlier, the farmers’ had entered Delhi on January 26 and indulged in rioting.
The Delhi Police had agreed to the Farmers’ Tractor Rally and agreed for a route. But, the protesting farmers digressed and indulged in arson and rioting.
Tikait warned of a similar action again if the government did not meet their demands.
They are protesting for a complete rollback of the three progressive farm laws passed by the Union government.
In the violence of Republic Day, the rioters entered the Red Fort and caused damage to the building. Private properties and vehicles were also harmed.
