At least four terrorists were killed by Indian Army in an encounter in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, early morning morning. Two of the terrorists were linked to terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Thd encounter between the terrorists and Indiam security forces broke out at around 2 AM at the Manihal area of Shopian.
Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army and the CRPF had launched a joint operation after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar said, “The two terrorists killed in an encounter with the security forces in Shopian were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The identity of the other two terrorist is being identified, the officials said. The search operation is still underway.
