Cracking the whip on Pro-Bharat, Pro-Hindu Twitter handles, the micro-blogging platform deleted the accounts of journalist Francois Gautier and Oxford University student activist Rashmi Samant.
Gautier has been busting many myths spread by the Left ecosystem. Living in India for many years now, his ideas and theories are despised by the Left.
Samant resigned from the presidentship of the Oxford University Students’ Union. Just after she was elected, she was bullied and accused by a section of people for being racist and transphobic.
She is the first female from Bharat to be elected to the post.
Rashmi comes from a family where Lord Ram is worshipped. She vociferously defended her religion in the wake of the controversy.
On many occasions, the microblogging platform has openly displayed its biased approach towards handling Twitter accounts.
Just a few days back, it had refused the Government of India’s request to take down accounts that were spreading lies about farmers’ protest in Delhi.
The government sternly warned Twitter to follow the country’s law.
