The BJP on Thursday announced that E Sreedharan, popularly known as the ‘Metro Man’, would be the party’s chief minister candidate for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections.
“While the other two fronts are engaged in corruption, our model is what the Metroman showed when he finished the work of a bridge months ahead of the scheduled time and that’s why we have put him as the Chief Minister candidate of the BJP. Metroman is our CM candidate,” said Surendran.
“Kochi Metro and Palarivattom flyover are the achievements of Sreedharan. If the Metro Man is made chief minister, Kerala will have a complete facelift. We believe that Metro Man will be able to implement the development projects of Narendra Modi in a much better way,” he said.
BJP on Wednesday had constituted a 16-member state election committee for the April 6 assembly polls, with ‘Metro Man’ E Sreedharan being a part of the panel.
