Basant Panchami and Saraswati Puja are being celebrated in different parts of the country today. People, especially students worship Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and knowledge on this occasion. In West Bengal, Saraswati Puja is being celebrated with religious fervour and traditional gaiety. In view of the pandemic, this year the participation in puja is less than normal.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar have extended their greetings on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami and Saraswati Puja.

In a tweet, the President wished that the arrival of spring brings happiness and prosperity to the lives of all the countrymen. The Vice President said, the festival marks the arrival of the spring season and is celebrated with great fervour across the country. He wished that Goddess Sarasvati bless everyone with knowledge, wisdom, happiness and prosperity.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, best wishes to all on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami and Saraswati Puja.

Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have greeted the nation on the occasion of Basant Panchami and Saraswati Pooja. In a tweet, Mr Shah said, this festival is a symbol of new zeal and new energy. He wished that Goddess Saraswati may provide knowledge, prosperity and good health to all. In his greeting, Mr. Rajnath Singh wished that this holy festival may bring joy, knowledge and good health in the lives of people.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has extended his greeting on the occasion of Basant Panchami. In a tweet, he prayed that Goddess Saraswati blesses us all with wisdom and intelligence.
